Everything under Control: ComPLC V4.4.2 is out!

Our recent launch of the EB8E8A I/O extension module opened up a whole world of control capabilities for Commend Symphony MX devices. This week we're happy to announce the release of ComPLC 4.4.2, the latest edition of Commend's Communication Programmable Logic Control Suite.

Compose your perfect Symphony MX!

Version 4.4.2 comes with all the tools you need to leverage the control and automation power of all your I/Os to perfection for an epic Symphony MX performance.

ComPLC 4.4.2 Feature Highlights:

  • Powerful, easy-to-use logic control and automation of equipment within and beyond the entire Symphony MX landscape (e.g., to and from external systems and devices)
  • Seamless integration of all I/O control functions of Symphony MX extension modules EB8E8A, EB3E2A-AUD and EB1E1A into ComPLC*
  • Support of custom TLS server certificates for HTTPS connections
  • SNMP Trap Community“ is now custom configurable
    to suit individual needs
  • Performance improvements, especially for large-scale
    Symphony MX system arrangements

It pays to take advantage of ComPLC, as it also allows SymMX Devices components to achieve an attractive price per I/O compared to standard PLC solutions on the market.

Packed with powerful benefits like these, ComPLC 4.4.2 opens up a world of new automation possibilities that go far beyond the limits of mere Intercom solutions. Here's a simple example:

You could easily route the input of an EB8E8A I/O module attached to an id5 Intercom Touch Station to some external equipment (such as a gate or building alarm) using a standard protocol like KNX, Modbus or similar. Using ComPLC you could then program the input(s) to make sure the gate is actuated (and/or the alarm raised) automatically under certain conditions (e.g., in case a smoke detector attached to one of the other inputs is triggered). Of course, the actual possibilities are virtually endless.

*Integration requires SymMX Firmware 3.4. Currently ComPLC supports only one of the same type of I/O module (EB8E8A, EB3E2A-AUD, EB1E1A) per Symphony MX device; this limitation will be eliminated in future Symphony MX firmware versions.
